Film maker Elias Markkula worked with us to produce a short film telling the story of Uncanny Ice. We’re honored that the film has been selected to be shown durning the film festival at the 2024 GAS conference in Berlin. The film will be screened in person during the conference and will be available to watch online after the screening.
The Glass Art Society is pleased to announce the inaugural GAS Film Festival, a celebration at the intersection of glass art and film.
Glass artists and filmmakers from around the world are invited to submit films of any length for screenings which will take place both in-person and virtually. In-person screenings will occur in tandem with the annual GAS Conference, this year to be held from May 15–18, 2024, in Berlin, Germany. A virtual film festival will also launch in the winter-spring of 2024–2025, to kindle our hearts and minds during the long winter stretch between our annual gatherings. Submissions will be juried by this year’s guest juror, Ayana Morris, in collaboration with the GAS board and staff.
